Maa

Maa

Mama, lay down your endless list,

Trade haste for calm, don't resist.

A warrior in the guise of peace,

It’s time for your sweet release.

No need for capes, no need to soar,

Across a sky cluttered with chores.

Leave the dishes, let the dust rest,

Choose today to be your best.

Step outside, inhale the breeze,

Let nature’s whispers put you at ease.

Visit the park, stretch on the green,

Embrace yourself as the serene queen.

Invest in laughter, in joy, in style,

Let the gym’s rhythm beguile.

Buy that dress, those shoes, that book,

Give yourself that second look.

In the mirror, see just you,

Not as many, but as few.

A singular, wonderful, vibrant soul,

Who makes broken things whole?

Remember, life's a fleeting dance,

Don’t miss the chance for a glance

At your dreams, your delight,

Because, Mama, you shine so bright.

Children grow and paths may part,

Hold your dreams close to your heart.

For homes and jobs, they’ll find a way,

But your own heart, that’s yours to stay.

Mama, remember, through and through,

The most deserving of love is you.
